Read this before you buy your next makeup remover

Makeup removers are all the same, right? Wrong! Before you find yourself walking into the next beauty supply store, let us help you make the right purchase.

When buying makeup removers, don’t get suckered into thinking the more you spend the better they will work. Not everything in life fits into the “you get what you pay for” category.

We will look at 3 different choices to help lead you in the right direction.

Pro: Oil based so it leaves your skin soft. It did leave my skin feeling clean and soft, not dried out. It is fragrance free and not overpowering, so you don’t smell it for hours.

Con: For the price of $32 (per 5 oz bottle) I was worried about the cost so I tried to be judicious in my use. When I did use this product, while it did dissolve my face makeup, it didn’t go as well for my eye makeup. Which led me to you use it again on my eyes, causing me to abandon my money saving idea of not using too much!

Pro: Light and easy on the skin. They are low cost as you get a 25 count pack for about $6.50. Not bad! And the pack is resealable for easy storage and safekeeping.

Con: Ended up having to use 2 towelettes per use to get everything off. Didn’t really do the job removing anything heavy.

Pro: It’s a 5 in 1 product that is a cleanser, a makeup remover, a scrub, a toner and mask all in 1! My main focus was the use as a makeup remover. And for that purpose it performed just as promised. No mess, simple to use and it worked in the first use without the need to use another cloth or having to wash your face afterwards with no residue left behind.

Con: None that I saw other than you need to add water to the cloth, so on the go use may be a little tougher.

Although all 3 remain on my go-to list, the one I would most highly recommend is the Olay Daily Facial Cloth. It’s not the lowest or highest cost option. But, it did work the best. And when you factor that the cheapest option needed to be used twice, the total costs were pretty similar.
