A2 REFLECTION

This project was a big challenge for me both for conceptually and prototyping. It was a completely different way of thinking for me, coming from the Communications track. I also think that maintaining motivation and effort was a challenge as well. As my semester started getting busier, I wasn’t able to put in as much effort as I wanted to or planned to, and because of that I also started losing motivation at times because it wasn’t even how I wanted the project to go. I think by the end, I continued to work because I knew I had to finish the project, but I kept thinking about how I was too far in with so little time left to change my entire idea, but I really wasn’t satisfied about how my project was going.

I did learn a lot from this entire process though. I learned that there are so many aspects to pay attention to when designing an exhibit for two clients and hybrid interactions. I also realized that storytelling is really important to showing something that is just a prototype. I wasn’t used to that because in Communications, we are actually building real products, and if we need to present, its more about the process and concept, and then showing the actual product. With this project, I was caught off guard with how to present something that I didn’t actually build.
