Earth let me be as you are

Earth lend me your hands
lift me up and lay me down
on some island where I can sleep
softly beside seabirds in the sand
And Earth lend me your mouth
breathe into me better days
and fill me, make me full
until I hunger no more
And Earth lend me your heart
give to me generously what the world
withholds from us all
